Terms of Service

Last updated: October 19, 2026

These terms apply to the SIGMA licence service at api.vargalabs.com and to linking an installation to an account. The SIGMA software itself is covered by its licence agreement, which you accept when you install it.

Provider: VargaLABS, a business operated by Steven Varga, Toronto, Ontario, Canada ("VargaLABS", "we"). Contact: info@vargalabs.com.

1. Use of the service

The licence service checks licences, issues licence tokens, offers updates, links installations to accounts and receives error reports. You may use it only through SIGMA software, or as our documentation describes.

You must not:

  • share, sell or publish your installation key, or use it on more machines than your licence allows;
  • try to get around licence checks, or forge licence tokens or update notices;
  • send requests faster than the software normally does, or try to overload, probe or break into the service;
  • send error reports that contain other people's personal information or content you are not allowed to share.

2. Accounts

When you link an installation, you sign in with a third-party account (GitHub, Google or LinkedIn). That provider's own terms also apply. You are responsible for the installations you link and for keeping your account secure.

3. Availability

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors. SIGMA software continues to work for a limited time when it cannot reach the service, as described in its documentation.

4. Suspension

We may suspend or revoke a licence or an account link if these terms are broken, if a licence expires or is not paid, or if we must do so by law. Where it is reasonable, we tell you first.

5. Updates

The service may tell SIGMA software that an update is available. Updates are signed by VargaLABS. Installing an update is your choice unless your licence agreement says otherwise.

6. Disclaimer

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty that it is fit for a particular purpose.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for your licence in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information the service collects and how we use it.

9. Changes

We may change these terms. We update the date at the top, and announce important changes in the software's update notice. If you keep using the service after a change, the new terms apply.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
